Nearly two decades ago, we set out to create a better way to fish at night. With a background in marine science, biology, and electrical engineering, we understood more than just where fish go—we understood why they’re drawn to light!
That mix of field-tested knowledge and time spent on the water led to what would become the original submersible fishing light: The Green Monster Fishing Light.
Even though our bulbs emit light across a broad spectrum, they peak in the green wavelength. Underwater, this green wavelength is more pronounced. Many aquatic organisms contain chlorophyll, which absorbs red and blue light but reflects green and enhances the color. The result tracks the full food chain—from plankton to predator.
